HP Officejet Pro L7590 – Inkjet Printing But Not As You Know It
This All-in-one inkjet printer has a standard multifunction capability to scan, copy, fax and print, as well as a 50-page document feeder and Ethernet connectivity (but no Wi-Fi). It also includes a useful automatic duplexer that clips on at the back of the unit, although this operates rather slowly. The most unusual feature of the HP Officejet Pro L7590 is its ink-delivery system, which uses four individual ink cartridges. With a claimed service life of 41,500 pages, this will be a lifetime component for many customers. The high-capacity ink system means less frequent maintenance and faster print, but also results in extra pumping noises. The multifunction colour printer is designed for the small and home office environment, although it is very clunky, and has a higher duty cycle than its lower-priced Officejet siblings. Interestingly, this all-in-one overlaps with the typical use and costs of a budget laser colour printer.
HP Officejet Pro L7590 Printing
HP claims that the L7590 All-in-one is capable of reaching 35 pages a minute in draft (black) and 12 ppm in laser quality (black). After testing, the L7590 spit out around 11 or 12 ppm on normal quality, with similar results being achieved on the colour printing. The inkjet printing quality is generally good with near-laser quality black print, showing little ink spatter except over coloured backgrounds where there is some slight bleed. The multifunction printer also supports scanning and copying, which averages to around 20 seconds for a scan and print, although delivers a degree of graininess to the final print. Furthermore, the MFC’s photo print quality is adequate but not excellent.
