The Lexmark X5650 Colour Inkjet Multifunction All-in-One: Diversity with a Touch of Class
The Lexmark X5650 Colour Inkjet Multifunction All-in-One printer announces its arrival with a robust, yet sleek, black and grey plastic exterior. Targeting the home office or users in need of a quality multifunction with a diverse workload capacity, the X5650 model allows users five different modes: print, scan, copy, photo print and fax.
The X5650 Colour Inkjet Multifunction All-in-One’s finest points are:
- The high quality results in each of the five modes – images, text, colours; uniform quality across the board.
- Large, easy-to-navigate control panel – front and centre.
- Multi-format card reader accompanied by a USB port, so it’s possible to print without a PC.
One word of warning, don’t hold your breath whilst the X5650 Colour Inkjet Multifunction All-in-One is churning out the pages – the X5650 model hasn’t increased its printing speed. With numerous, diverse features working at a high level of quality, however, things should smooth over fairly quickly.
Lexmark X5650 Printing
Despite its improvements in design and feature diversity, the Lexmark X5650 Colour Inkjet Multifunction All-in-One has failed to up its print speed game.
Standard quality text prints will work at an underwhelming 5 pages per minute, which, though not horrible, certainly isn’t this MFD’s biggest draw card. A 10×15cm photo print will take up to 2 minutes and 20 seconds from scan to eject, which again lags, but compensates in quality.
Scanning and copying efficiency, however, is perhaps more competitive in the X5650 model, though the plaudits should again be directed at the quality, not quantity.
The X5650 Colour Inkjet Multifunction All-in-One is compatible with black, tri-colour and a photo-specific high-yield ink cartridge. The high-yileld cartridges are capable of printing twice as many pages as your normal cartridge, and Lexmark include a postage paid return envelope for easy recycling. A green option, especially if you consider the X5650 model’s power saving options.
Lexmark X5650 Price
Another big draw card for the X5650 model is the price – a MFC inkjet printer with 5 modes for $100-$180 is a great buy for the home or office.
